Thanksgiving in Auburn is a collaboration between Auburn Family Friend Program, the Baptist Campus Ministry, and the Auburn community. The purpose of this event is to introduce international students at Auburn University to the American holiday of Thanksgiving. There are 900 students at Auburn who don't call the United States home. Many of them are not able to return home during Thanksgiving break due to cost and time constraints. For years, the Auburn Family Friend Program has tried to find American homes to host students, but nonetheless some are left without a place to experience this time of family and friendship.
This year we aim to offer all the students a single place to enjoy a Thanksgiving meal. Thanksgiving in Auburn also allows the Auburn community an opportunity to meet young people from around the world, build lasting relationships, and see a different side to Auburn's student body. We invite you to join us this November 26th at the Baptist Campus Ministry, 135 N. College St. Auburn, building for Thanksgiving in Auburn.
